The 2020 RGU Order of Merit has been changed to be inclusive to all members. The new format is as follows:
The new format will consist of 7 Open Competitions played over 18 holes at the following venues:
Old Course Ranfurly – Sunday 24th May 2020
Ranfurly Castle – Gents Open Sunday 13th September 2020
Paisley – Seko Paisley Open Saturday 25th July 2020
Gleddoch – Gents Open Saturday 11th July 2020
Gourock – Gillen Trophy Saturday 23rd May 2020
Cochrane Castle – Craigston Rosebowl Sunday 30th August 2020
Caldwell – AP Scott Memorial Saturday 5th September 2020
The overall Scratch and Nett winner from each event will be invited by the RGU to compete in the Order of Merit Final at Mar Hall on Saturday 3rd October 2020.
Further to that points will be awarded to the Top 25 in both classes and on completion of the 7 events the top 10 Scratch and top 10 Nett placings will be also invited to compete.
Further to that the Winner of the County Strokeplay and the Best Nett at the County Handicap will also be invited and again Race to Mar Hall points awarded to the Top 25 at each event.
This will conclude with a total of 36 players being invited to participate in the final at Mar Hall on 3rd October where players will be welcomed with a breakfast roll and Tea/Coffee, 18 holes of golf with the winner of each class being awarded a trophy and a fantastic winners prize.
